Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Vanessa, the founder of KoeKids.
KoeKids was inspired by the wonderful Japanese children I taught English Phonics to during my university years. Watching them grow in confidence through patience, encouragement, and dedication to learning English as they adapted to life in Singapore was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had as an educator.
Seeing them become more confident communicators and express themselves more freely reminded me that learning English isn't just about language. It's about giving children the confidence to use their voice. That inspired the name KoeKids, with Koe (声) being the Japanese word for "voice." It represents my belief that every child deserves to be heard and should never feel limited by their confidence in communicating.
